Feature Requests and Suggested Improvements

Okay, completed my first run with my new Forerunner 235 and I'll start off with the following:

Speed Source from Foot Pod on outdoor runs please!

This would be a great addition to the watch. It was a nice improvement on the 920xt and the 235 could definitely stand to have the same feature.
  • The watch face is much more configurable in the FR935 and Fenix5. You have to upgrade though!

  • Hello! After trying 15 digital watch faces, I came to the conclusion that, Garmin, could improve the digital one,

Why would Garmin need to do that, when it has already provided the Connect‑IQ platform, and you have the luxury of using any number of watchfaces published by Garmin itself and other developers as well? It's not rocket science to find, download and install a CIQ watchface on the FR235, and the great thing is that Garmin doesn't have to support the individual watchfaces or entertain requests for this or that customisation option for them.

Ok! Thanks for you time. So can you pint point one watchface, by Garmin, that as the batery%?

The factory-installed Digital watchface already shows the battery charge percentage – when you connect the FR235 to a USB power source.

    See https://forums.garmin.com/showthread.php?369284-My-Garmin-235-only-charges-to-98&p=946004#post946004

Whether that behaviour pleases you is beside the point. If you don't like it, then find yourself a different watch face to install and use.

Good afternoon! First of all, I come to ask for help and not to take a reprimand! Then, to finish this request for help, I explain why I want a watch face where I can see: ONLY - hours / minutes; Date and% battery! This is because I use the clock 24 hours a day and for running practice! For me it makes a lot of sense to know how much the battery clock has! I find it disheartening to always "change" to go see the wiget ... In addition to the third party watch consume more battery!
  • kompressor -there are a number of CIQ watchfaces with minimal data that shows the % of battery.

So, by all means, go find or develop such a Connect‑IQ watch face to suit your requirements, instead of insisting it has to be one developed (and therefore presumably ongoingly supported by) Garmin.

Edit: Yes, that would mean you're unlikely see 100% battery charge shown on such a watch face, unless you develop it and implement logic that simply pretends the firmware will report 100% from time to time.

Thanks for your time! See the watch faces made by you!

1 - As I said above: tried 15 diferent watch faces.
2 - Dont have time/skills for develop app.
3 - Why Garmin supported my idea?
4 - Whats the problem of asking?

I'd like to have an improved 24/7 heart rate monitoring. That's all! For the rest, the watch is almost perfect :)
