wifi does not work version 10.00

I've only been able to get rides to upload using the bluetooth connection on my phone since upgrading to 10.00. I tried removing the wifi connection on the 820 and try to re-find the network but it won't find any at all. Is there a problem with the firmware or a problem with my wireless chip in the 820?

Same thing here with the EDGE 1000, no networks as there are many of them around. Feels like the basic things are quite complex for Garmin. Please let me know if someone found a solution for this.

  • Same for me, my 830 is not able to detect any WiFi networks anymore. Does this mean my 830 is already broken within 1 year???

Same for me, my 530 can not fing any networks. If I add manually network name it still does not work. I can not find any solutions od forums. I started to think there is hardware problem. My 530 is new,  just out of the box, never use yet for training, just for settings.

    I made router settings

    Wireless mode
                    802.11b/g/n mixed
    Channel
    Manua 6l

    Channel width  20/40 mhz

    security wpa2-psk

and it is connecting to wifi now, and discover only my wifi, does not see other routers near my home. So in my opinion typical router settings make wifi invisible for garmin.

  • Great tip. I created a new SSID on my network with all radios enabled (a/b/g/n) and it worked. It was a/g before. Thanks for the tip.
