Quick Poll: Does your Edge 820 have a hypersensitive touchscreen?

By hypersensitive, i mean you can activate the touchscreen without physically touching it. I am getting the impression from DCR that not every Edge 820 is experiencing this issue but so far i have yet to see a response in this forum from someone who has a touchscreen that's working fine.

A yes/no answer and the version of TSC will suffice.

Here's how to find out the TSC version:

    yes it does
  • When I bought the garmin 820 in august 2016 it has an hypersensitive touchscreen and that causes sometimes mistakes.

Now I find the touchscreen almost act as an normal mobile phone. Just slightly more sensitive.

Maybe because of the firmware 3.2?
Maybe the screen works better after a while because of a fat layer?

I have very dry hands so I am using a fat cream for my hands. I always have trouble with touch screens of mobile phones because of that. Maybe the hypersensitivity could be changed to normal sensitivity due to a fat layer?

I managed to disable Bluetooth on a ride last weekend by sweating on the screen. I'll be putting some long miles in this weekend with the new 4.10 firmware. Hopefully I'll have better results!

I found the Medium setting too insensitive with gloves on, I'll be trying High today.
Is everyone aware that sensitivity settings can be accessed pulling down the status bar.

i think touchscreen sensitivity is not the problem... theres either a hardware design problem or the touch event handling routine in the firware is too low of a priority and the device just ignores the input as its busy doing some other stuff.

imho the cpu is too slow to handle all the tasks or the software implementation is lousy
