A new Beta software for the Edge 520 has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found here.

Although this software is believed to be reliable, it has not yet been released for production and should be used at your own risk.
Changes made from version 12.90 to 12.92:
- Updated battery capacity model to better reflect the remaining battery life of older batteries.
- Added support for 12-speed shifting sensors.
- Fixed data field issues when using a shifting system with no front derailleur.
- Made several improvements to the Sensor Details UI for Vector 3 power meters.
- Fixed issue causing some Connect IQ apps to not be able to make web requests through the phone connection.
Installation Instructions
- Plug your Edge 520 device into USB.
- Download and unzip the Edge520_1292Beta.zip and place the GUPDATE.gcd file in the \Garmin folder of your device's internal storage drive.
- Eject device from USB and wait for the update to finish.
- If you would like to revert to the latest public release software:
- Plug your Edge 520 device into USB.
- Place the GUPDATE-1290.gcd file in the \Garmin folder of your device's internal storage drive and rename it to GUPDATE.gcd.
- Eject device from USB and wait for the update to finish. NOTE: If you revert to the latest public release software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults. Your user data (history, courses, etc.) will be retained.
