The map no longer moves with me and do not show me in the middle of the screen

It is not about tracking. I use the edge 1030 just as a map which shows me where I am. In the past I could use it as described in the beginning (with Navigation / browse maps), but now it only works like described at the end. But I do not want to record. This is done by my Bosch Nyon.

You can just discard the activity when you are done navigating. No need to save it.

I'm not understanding the problem. If you simply want to view the map and your location on the map, there is no need to go to navigation. Just touch the profile icon and then go to the map page.

I don't understand it either. ,-)
On my device, everything works as usual even without starting an activity - even with a loaded route.

Summary:

It is just the way I used it in the past is not working anymore.

In the past I did following:

When I started the Edge I saw my profile (EBike):
Here I could select between Naviation, Training, History and My Stats
I selected here always Navigation and then "Browse Maps"
In the past, I was always in the center of the map here, also when I was moving.
But now I am moving in the map.

Now I do following and then it works (Thank you again, e7andy):

After the starting page I have to wipe upside.
There I see the page with different values (Speed, Distance, Avg. Speed, ...)
Then I have to wipe to the right side.
Then I see the map and here the hand / square - dot symbol is working fine here and I can stay in the center of the map even when I move.

There is no page on my device where „wipe upside“ does anything.

The „normal“ way:
-Turn on
-Homescreen
-if necessary - select the profile you want ride
-tap on to the bicycle inside the colored circle
Then you are at the first of the trainingspages - mostly the one with speed, distance, etc…
Then - as you say - wipe to sideway to the next page.

All this has nothing to do with starting an activity or navigation.

But - of course - we are happy that you have found your way!
