1030 to Earth

I'm very seriously considering purchasing either a 1030 or a 1030+.

Seems my question is the opposite of most here. I like examining my ride tracks using Google Earth on a Win10 laptop. Currently I download from my eTrex 30x using Basecamp, then export the track as GPX and open it in Google Earth.

Can I do the same with a 1030? A different procedure is fine; I don't need the GPX files except for the transfer, and the Basecamp database is just a backup. TCX, KML, KMZ would all work fine, and there are probably others. I just want to be able to see the track in Earth, including letting Earth compute the elevataion gain (though I know it overestimates).

I tried a Wahoo Roam and ended up returning it. The only procedure Wahoo support could give me was to download a FIT file and convert it using some website. Plus Wahoo seems to only believe in Workouts, never Rides, and I'm a tourer, not a racer. But I digress.

Can it?

I have a 1030 and use it with BaseCamp. I do have to remove the extra SD card to get it recognized. But I have open source maps on it. I can drag tracks and waypoints POIs right into the 1030. I also copy my rides into BaseCamp. One odd this is once you open a track on the 1030 it is converted to a fit file and I cannot delete it using BaseCamp. So it is almost like using my Montana.

The files for recorded rides on the Edges are always fit files. That has nothing to do with BaseCamp.
