  • In almost 2 weeks of using this Beta I have had this experience:

    1) VERY positively surprised by the ‘all-clear’ signal of the radar. Thank you.

    2) A bit disappointed that there is no support in this version for CIQ Workouts

    3) Today had a very strange experience, the only strange experience so far, but VERY strange:

    -> The 1030 did not show up with my workouts. After waiting for 5 minutes in the cold I gave up and used the old TrainingPeaks App on the device to download the workout of today.

    -> The start button resulted in a ‘beep’, but not the start beep and it refused to start the timer!

    -> I tried to turn off the device, but it said: “ Connect IQ app is open. Close the app before putting the device to sleep or powering off.” I never had this message and it prevented to shut down the device.

    -> Turning off my (i)Phone completely did not help. Even after the 1030 reported that my phone disconnected, I still received the above message.

    -> Did a reset of the 1030. After that it connected to my (also fresh restarted) phone and it showed my workout and asked to ‘restart’ it instead of ‘ ride’ .

    -> After that no problem.

  • Simple setup was introduced with the 1030 Plus, check reviews of that device for explanations. In a nutshell allows to transfer some settings from an old to a new device (data screens, activity profiles, sensors, etc). Having it in the 1030 will allows to transfer setup form that device to another one.

    Same here while using Komoot app.
    It was not possible to start the timer / activity and when trying to shut down the device, the same "Connect IQ app is open..." message popped up. I tried multiple times, alway having the same result. I was only able to shut down and restart the device by holding the power button for 10 seconds.

    By 'reset' do you mean a forced shutdown / restart by holding the power button for longer than 10 seconds? Or did you do a factory reset? Does the device incl. the apps work normally now?

  • Garmin shoud add an "force sync" or "sync now" button for routes , segments and workouts

    After sync, a page should display the info with latest route name , or workout name , that was copied to device from GC
