.FIT file doesn't sync (Unsupported File Type)

Hello,

I did a nice ride today that I would like to sync to Garmin Connect but it's not working.
It normally works with my smartphone and bluetooth function.
Then I connected my Garmin Edge 1030 with USB to my PC and I tried to upload the .FIT file (which I can perfectly find in the Garmin > "Activities" folder) but I get the error: "Unsupported File Type."

Also, I can't open today's ride on my Garmin device either. If I go to my last rides, I can open them all except the one of today.

Can someone help me to save my workout to Garmin Connect? Appreciate your help!

Attached is the "broken" FIT-file.

  • Weird, during the ride I didn't notice any problems. All the data seemed to be correct on my data page during the ride and my position was correct on my map screen. On one of the rides I'm sure that after I stopped the timer and choose save I looked at the summary on my Edge and the numbers looked OK (distance, average speed, altitude gain etc). When I wanted to upload the fit file with Garmin Express the *** hit the fan. Never had this problem. Did they messed something up with 10.0 firmware? I'm getting tired of this. BS problems solved and the key feature f*cked up. The most important is to log the data of your ride reliable.

    Thx for your trouble.
