after few days of use I've seen 1030 temp value are constantly higher than real (and 520/1000 too). This difference is about 4 'C. A little few at about 25 'C (3,5 'C), and a little more near 0'C (4,5'C). Today I put 1000 and 1030 in refrigerator and they red 5.0/9.6 'C
Hello everyone. Thinking a little, if Garmin does not solve the temperature problem. You can make a new data field that is: Garmin temperature = temperature -5. And that's it. Let's see if any application programmer does it. I invite you to have lunch in Spain
The temperature offset on the Garmin Edge 1030 seems to increase the colder the air temperature gets. I noticed it was reporting 2-3 degrees C too high in fall/autumn temperatures of 10-20 C. In Winter temperatures of 0-5 C, I'm seeing about 5 degrees C too high. Come on Garmin, this is not a complex problem to solve. Even if it the error is non-linear, it seems to be pretty consistent, so it should by easy to incorporate a correction algorithm into the next firmware update.
I am also experiencing this. Just upgraded from a 1000 last week. My temp readings read higher than actual. I hope this gets fixed. I would like my data to be accurate for such an expensive device.

Thank you.
Can you get my Garmin Remote working too? Winter riding is where I really need it and it's been pretty useless with the 1030.

FWIW: I rode 40 miles today with a friend who has a 820. The temps were 18-22 F during the ride. My 1030 displayed 30 F when my friend's 820 displayed 20 F. His was correct. Mine was way off.
Hoping there's a software fix for this (and that it's not a hardware design issue). My 1030 is also regularly registering temps that are way too high. The range is tough to pin down--I've regularly seen variances of 5-12F from a friend riding with an 820. I'm puzzled at the posters who are trying to convince us that this isn't important. Temp is most definitely an important cycling metric--I always appreciated this data point on my old 800.
