I had this as well. I just went to the event on the Calendar in the Connect app and selected three-dots -> Send to Device and that fixed it (once I synced).

My upcoming race dissappeared, however it's still showing in garmin connect app.. Other then thay no issues found (yet).

My watch turned into a useless piece of ***. Screen is now black and unresponsive to any buttons or touch. Screen will randomly turn on every 20 seconds or so for less than a second and will just randomly restart out of nowhere. Awesome…

on the previous software version, when having headphones connected to the phone (e.g. listening to music) while walking, for example, the watch's notifications about each kilometer covered were played on the headphones, now it doesn't work

This didn't work for me on the previous firmware either, despite having the output set to 'connected device'.

I thought this is a bit ridiculous, not supporting this simultaneous dual source to headphone, but I accepted it.

Now you say it was possible, I'm curious how...
(I use a Samsung with Android 15)

When I read about the bugs after this update, I have the impression that it did more harm than good.

an option to return to the previous version would be useful

100% agreed. For example for me - 12.70 update has made the watch unusable – the screen turns on (backlights) when it wants to, not when it should. I had to buy a backup watch for the last competition. Technical support didn't help at all, only saying they felt sorry for me. I think they feel less sorry for me than I feel for myself.

The problem has been going on for a week long and started immediately after the update. Pathetic...

Try to delete and disable all notifications, restart the watch.

I will try it in the evening (collapsed 970 stays at home;) ). However, I suspect that this may not help, because the problem starts immediately after the power-on stage (blue triangle) - not even the runner animation and "FORERUNNER 970" are displayed before the system starts.

Call garmin and complain. I had taken videos of my watch not working and screen going black etc. they asked me to send them a ram dump and said they would call me back. Day went by no call so i called them they decided to replace my watch. My watch is currently on the way to them and they’re express shipping me a new one. Pain in the ass but at least I’ll get a new watch out of it and this time I’ll stay off the beta softwares…

Of course – the complaint has been filed (15 minutes after the problem was detected) and is pending. I'm waiting for a response from Garmin.
