Go for 965 or for 955 solar

Hello all,

I oscillate between the 955 solar and the 965.

Now that the new update for the 955 solar with wrist based running dynamics has come out, are there any differences at all in the functions?

I think the battery life of the 955 is great.
But also find the display of the 965 really nice!

But have a bit of fear that what could burn in the 965 (amoled also as with oled?) and that in the sun perhaps the display is difficult to read (in videos it is said that this works well?!).

Would be happy about your experiences before I put 600 bills.

The FR965 actually has an ambient light sensor, doesn't it?

So i tried that. AOD in "before gesture position" went from a shade location to bright sunlight and I see no difference at all. Without gesture there no visibility in bright sun and there is in shade. With gesture there is.

Is your experience different? Or do you refer to it in Gesture - which I think is the case , as you cannot adjust the based AOD brightness (to my knowledge)

In my experience the AOD of the Apple Watch (in my case, a Series 7 sapphire) is brighter both indoors and outside. This was also true compared to the Epix. After gesturing they’re comparable, thought the AW gesture algorithm is smoother.

Probably the best combo I’ve had has been using the AW for day-to-day use, and using a Garmin with an MIP display for workouts. Unfortunately, when I want to fully utilize Garmin’s recovery data it requires 24/7 wear. I prefer the AMOLED for day-to-day use, but I’d opt to crank up the AOD brightness even if it meant a hit to the battery.

I’ll also add that the Epix and 965 look much better to me as watches for daily wear than the AW. I like the AW additional functionality and better AOD implementation, but it’s got no style (again, to me).
