I’m done with Garmin. Their device pricing is outrageous compared to the features they actually deliver, and the overall experience has been frustrating.

Every new release seems rushed—watches ship with critical bugs, and some models even crash regularly well into their first or second year. By the time the major issues are finally patched (if they ever are), the device is already considered “previous” and receives no meaningful feature updates.

Take my FR955 as an example: after all this time, its hiking navigation still can’t provide reliable, complete turn-by-turn directions. For a premium-priced device, that’s just unacceptable.

Every day some new annoyances.
Currently, the audio prompts during an activity aren't working ...  
Some days ago, some stupid messages came up the whole day in Connect ...

My FR955 will be my last Garmin watch.

    Well said.. Yes,  I've only been with Garmin for 6 or so months and I couldn't be any more disappointed in not only the moderators here, but especially the Garmin Engineers...

    I Have a hard time remembering what all my grievances are. Frankly there are so many it's hard to keep track. 

    However, on my most recent run I remembered that they broke the ability to change map track colors. Mine is stuck on red which is the same color as a lot of the map roads/trails. Makes it difficult to know where ive actually been in unfamiliar territory.

    Just for kicks i submitted a report but it was just ignored.

    Its sad there are so many basic things broken with this company.

    I might at least be able to help you with that one. Run settings>Map Layers>Activity Line>Color. Very hidden and not very clear. Still doesn’t absolve them regardless!

    ...but that setting is ignored unless you untic the "use system settings" for maps in each activity...

    It’s not ignored the line colour for me, and I have ‘Use Sys. Settings’ ticked in the map settings for the activity. 

    This setting isn’t an option at system setting level anymore, only activity level under map layers? 

    Unsurprisingly there is probably a bug, as it’s applied the colour for all activities, even when I didn’t select ‘Apply to all activities’ in the options, and the colour option within them are still set to red.

    Agree. My watch has been unusable for the features that made me buy it since June - HR, sleep tracking, steps.
    Don't want to buy another expensive device from them if they can't event do a decent software testing before releasing updates.
