22.22 update (from 22.18) crazy fast?

never seen an update install so quickly. I said it would take 4 min, but I would say it was under 2. before I knew it, I looked down and my watch face was back up. surprised. anyone else notice theirs updating super quickly?

yup. I get the incremental update aspect, but even with small updates before, my recollection is they took longer. but I'm glad that this one was quick. so far so good. no notable problems with one run…

ha! yes. I just found it odd and wonder if it did it properly. let's hope 12.22 doesn't bring any new gremlins which Garmin updates seem to regularly introduce these days. happy activities to all of you!

It was a small change in the code, no one sensor was updated. Only some bugfixes were released.

some updates are faster than other, your situation is simple

22.18 to 22.22 is incremental update
- then the system upgrade file is lower than the one for a full upgrade. could be 500kb to 15mb
- take 1mn to 4mn to process
past version (for example 21.20) to 22.22 always used the full system file size
- then use the 30mb file
- take always "4mn" to process
