How to prepare for a marathon with use of FR955

Suggestions anyone? Garmin has no coach program for full marathon, so no adaptive training. Can I use the ordinary "Daily Suggestions" feature? Or do third party plans exist which use the FR955 data for adaptive training? Or, if not, can I upload a fixed scheme into the calendar widget?

I trained with Coach for half marathon, and found it a pleasant way of training.

  • OK, I put in the event in the agenda, and added my personal goal to it. Do I need to do more? Or is Garmin giving me the daily suggestions to reach the goal automatically from now on?

  • This should be all. If you haven't already you can add the training widget to your menu and it will show you the next 7 days of planned workouts. But those will change if for example you have a bad night or skip a training. 

    There was an option somewhere to set your preferred day for long runs but I'd have to look it up.

  • Found that option in the training section of the watch' running activity.
