There seems to be 2 different versions of GPS released. 2.37 (in my case) and 2.42 in 14.15 software release. I tried soft reset after update and some minutes later. Still GPS version 2.37 downgrade.

Same - I am in beta and got 14.15 and am on 2.42
i think this is correct. i am in the beta program, but didn't download/sync the 14.08beta because of the reported bugs which would have been frustrating to me.
so, i still have GPS 2.37 on 14.15. i'm still in the beta program too. (i was hoping to get the 14.12 beta, but i never received the opportunity to receive it before 14.13 appeared and i was one of the first 30% to get that version)
Yes, if my memory serves me correctly, the GPS 2.42 version came with the beta version 14.08, those who did not have the beta version 14.08 installed should not have GPS 2.42 now because the stable version 14.13 and 14.15 did not update the GPS module.
So there's been unannounced beta GPS. Great. Does not really inspire trust in the beta program.
In this thread, FlipStone announced it
By announcing I mean Garmin telling that there is some GPS firmware update and what does it contain. I think we have usually seen the GPS firmware updates mentioned.
The last releases of the software, be it beta versions or stable versions, have been a fiasco. A lot of the bugs and change announcements were very blunt. In my opinion, they didn't even know what they were publishing. The moderator of the forum wrote that he does not yet know when the new version of the software will be released, and boom the next day a beta version with unresolved bugs.
