Battery Usage from 13.15 to 13.21

So I am noticing a 4-6%/day increase in battery usage between the released rev. 13.21 and beta 13.15 (even after powering down/up the 955). I have the same settings and the same scheduled activities. So now getting 6 days instead of 8(+) days between charges? Hopefully, some of what they are working on fixes this.

13.21 is known to be buggy (though garmin have not admitted what the issues were). you should upgrade to 13.22 which is the fixed release of 13.21

however i have noticed significant battery drain issues since upgrading to 13.22 so i don't think it will actually fix your trouble

pnmckenna, se my previous posts in this thread regarding getting rid of the battery drain issue after upgrading the fw and let know, if it helped.

yes i did see that thanks but wasn't keen to do a reset as resets do lose your hrv status etc. however i realise that what you say to do is hold the power button which is actually just a force restart.

will try the restart and also clear connect app (relevant since i'm having sync issue too) and see what happens.

regardless, it is not acceptable for garmin to make us do this sort of stuff

Yes, holding LIGHT for more than 15s is referred as Restarting of the watch in the manual. And contrary of what Garmin claims here: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/running-multisport/f/forerunner-955-series/317165/how-to-reset-watch-after-each-update, me and others haven't experienced deleting of HRV status history after the restart.

And I agree, Garmin should keep this under control, or should clearly indicate, how the watch needs to be treated after the FW upgrade.
