Upgrade FR 945: 255s or 955

I plan to upgrade my FR 945, mostly due to its disappointing GPS accuracy. I use the watch for running only, so both FR 255s and 955 should do the trick.

I like 255s due to its smaller form factor but 955 has map and longer battery. Admittedly, I used map only a couple of times a year but it seems handy when needed.

Another possibility is to use 255s to replace my aging Vivosport, which 955 cannot do. However, I am not sure if I can sleep well wearing a watch. If Vivosport is dead, I may still need to buy Vivosmart, regardless 255s or 955 I will own.

255s is $100 cheaper than 955 but that is not a major factor.

Please let me how you think.

Got my 955 and took it for a 5K run. Here is what I found

1) The screen is much sharper than 945. Maybe higher contrast or brightness. I do not mess with either so they are defaults.

I got both to compare. I liked the 255 a lot for the price. It was the regular 255 (non music) cos onbard music is useless for me. I always carry my phone anyways so I won't mess watch battery with music…

So was I... untill I did. You don't have to take my word for it. Go back one step and see all the issues ppl posting, u can also check freezing posts and how many having the exact same problem. It's not that the product couldn't potentially be good. It's that the support behind it fails to qualify for what it is advertised for. A top premium running watch. Which is far from the Truth. I wish I read smth like that before I bought mine. That's my 2 cents about it. whoever is happy with it (or Lucky he hasn't bumped into issues yet) I am glad for them. I for once gonna be running with.nothing on my wrist for some time old-school style since I'll have to wait for my refund and maybe choose smth more stable for my next watch maybe a polar or sunnto? Who knows maybe I'll just rock my damn automatic chronograph which will die much later than I will and put my money only on a good hear rate belt. Just... Rly disappointed on 955.

I envy those who can claim for a refund.

We don't have that option in my country.
