"Up Ahead" activated but not shown while navigating ?

That's a good hint, actually I did not have any course points added, as I thought there are some on every course, thank you patrickd123! There is nothing descriptive about course points in the FR955 user manual, so I was thinking about it incorrectly.  

However, even with course that have course points added, it does not work as described above, I have opposite experience than Alex!

1) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Training below ->  choose Race an Activity -> select Downloaded -> select your course -> Choose Race -> start the activity -> list all data screens

- I see no Up Ahead screen!

2) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Navigation below ->  select Courses -> select your course -> Choose Do Course -> start the activity -> list all data screens

- I see Up Ahead screen with course points correctly.

3) Choose GPS activity, like Run or Bike (do not start it) -> long press UP to see menu starting with Run Settings -> select Navigation below ->  select Saved Locations -> select some location nearby -> Choose Go To -> start the activity -> list all data screens

- OK, here it is no reason to see any Up ahead screen, as I now understand, that it is connected  to the Course and its course points.

Yeah, I think we’ve been quite a few to be confusing course points and points of interest! The former being user specific and part of your course planning and the latter being available to every one through maps!!!!

Forerunner 955 user here.  Up Ahead screen activated.  Course loaded with multiple course points, and nothing displaying; not even the data screen.  

I've followed the steps outlined by others to see this when utilizing the course, and still nothing.  Assuming this is a bug at this point?
