Question to garmin employees

The 955 has been very usable for me, but then I don't use every single feature.  Obviously, the watch does become unusable if features you need aren't working correctly.  There's another thread for the list of bugs that have been identified by other community users and it seems to be fairly comprehensive.  I'd hope that people reporting bugs will refer to that thread and avoid creating duplicate threads for the same problem.

I suspect we won't be told when to expect an upcoming patch and what will be in it until it's ready to be released.

An official garmin thread would be useful. That could be in the beta section.

Do you mean 945 or 955? I have the 955 and it works all most 100%.

My 955 is largely OK for my use case - largely running activities , a number of items that are "irritating" like weather not working ,but otherwise workable. 

Same here. Been running, cycling and hiking and so far so good.

E.g. try to set up your alarm clock in GCM.

Or try to set up the datafields in the ultra run profile …

Very inconsistend. It seems garmin is not using their watches themselves. 

I'm normally a very sharp Garmin critic and I feel they've released a lot of products before they were ready (and Garmin should have recalled the early Edge 820 examples because of screen issues).

All of that said, I've been delighted by the 955 and haven't to run into any problems of note. I think this is the best Garmin release I've ever experienced in the 15+ years I've been using (and sometimes loathing) Garmin products. I'm a very happy camper so far.

I don't use CIQ apps or fields, which others are apparently finding make things unstable. I hope Garmin releases an update that resolves problems others are experiencing soon!

On the contrary, for me, FR955 is one of the most disaster release i ever experinenced. Even i know that early garmin product has always has flaws. Starting from Forerunner 305. Firmware of FR955 seems unpolished, lack of gui tweaks, wrong choises and crashing a lot when using beyond just running. I used FR945 for 3 years and i was pleased from the beggining. I even consider to come back to FR945 and just wait when FR955 would exit beta stage. 

Have you checked your HR zones or not needed to? This is the biggest bug for me and something I feel should have been picked up on during production testing.
