Bluetooth sync didn't work...

... until after i did wifi sync. (i was trying to get a widget and watch face installed but they stayed in the download queue).

i tried reboot the watch, and my phone, and it continued to fail on syncing. i finally gave up and went with wifi which worked. i then turned off wifi, and since then on a few attempts, syncing worked (initiated either from the watch or Garmin Connect app (iOS)

anyone else had this problem?

  • Solved installing last version of the app (on smartphone)

  • I have tried to restart the phone and watch multiple times. Running the latest versions of everything that is available (watch 12.23, app 4.58.2.2). However, here in Sweden IOS15.6.1 is the latest release. Perhaps the IOS16 will resolve the issue :-)

  • I had issues with iOS16 connecting earlier so not sure if that is the solution. At one stage I paired to an older device I had running iOS15 to sort my issues. Recent versions of the GC app seemed to sort the issue for me (including for example the weather working which was another item related to to iOS16 beta changes.) I found that unpairing and forgetting the device on bluetooth iPhone settings and then rediscovering the device and re-pairing sorted the issue at that stage.  Recently I had the situation where BT would drop a lot but after the long reset it seemed to be ok.
