HRV-stress always 90-100 percent

I measure my HRV-stress every morning. For everyday during the past months (since I bought the watch basically) my stress-level is close to 100 percent. I balance training and rest pretty good and feel healthy in general. Anyone has similar experience? Bug in software? Bug in my heart? Bug in my brain?

Cheers,

Veronica

  • Same here. Always 95 to 100. FR945 with HRM pro. Systems are up to date. 7day RHR is 49.

  • Same here with FR945 + HRM pro. Always 95 to 100. No matter training or resting, measuring in morning or evening, no matter software version (always updating). I even tried to stand still for couple minutes before the test, but always get same high results. 7d RHR is 49. Tried android hrv apps, which worked fine. But garmins hrv test just dont work on my watch.

  • I guess this makes me wonder about some peoples HRV vs others.  Possibly similar to maximum and resting HR... where everyone's different regardless of fitness/age/gender.  Yes there are trends and averages, but there is a large range within each group.  You could have a HRV that is on the limits of normal/expected... making watch think you are stressed.  Is your daily stress and body battery making any sense?  Good recovery on sleeping, stressful sleep if drinking to much, rest during chilling on couch?

Do you have the option of another HRM strap to try?

Have you tried putting your strap on someone else and done the HRV Stress test?

Are you getting good respiration rate data during your activities (no blank areas)?

It really isn't a watch situation most likely, it is the strap that does all the measurements of your pulse.

  • What's your heart rate like when you stand ?

The HRV has relationship to your heart rate too.

For my case, my standing heart rate can be 70-100 bpm at times. And thus the HRV-stress is high when I tried it plus I can be more excited doing the test making my HR beats faster.

  • [Edit January/2023] I’ve switched from HRM Dual to HRM Pro Plus and been getting scores as low as 46. Maximum I’ve gotten has been 80.

Going through the same issue. Been giving it a chance waiting for a lower score but nothing. Ironically, my training readiness has been in ‘Prime’ and Training Status on ‘Recovery’ with these scores. No approximate races that could cause me stress and a week after an inline skating session of a training load of 350+ wasn’t rest enough to lower the score.

    Watch: F7s 9.36 fenix 7 Serie

    HRM: HRM Dual

I take the test, while standing with eyes closed—if that helps—and breathing normally, 5-10 minutes after waking up and before doing anything else. Thought it might be my sleep, which estimates a 4w avg. score of 75 and 7d avg. of 7 hours. Resting HR 4w avg: 57

Would like to know if I should keep at it or not.

The following graphs correspond to Sleep Score, HRV Status, and Stress.

    Bug in my heart?
