7 days work load data input

Hi,

I have bought a new forerunner 945 recently and I am very pleased with it. One thing I haven't been able to figure out is why on the 7 days work load data I can only see the data recorded with the watch and not the ones with other devices such the Edge 510 I am using when cycling. The watch displays all the activities correctly - meaning it syncs with Edge- but data are not taken into account in the workload. Any clue?

because the edge 510 does not regeistratie training load perhaps

I agree with MarinusvD The older Edge 510 devices do not record the advanced Training Load metrics that newer watches or the Edge x30 series have.

One option would be to record on both devices, then discard rather than saving on the Edge at the end of the activity (to avoid duplicates).

Thanks MarinusvD and mcalista for the feedback. It's a pity my edge too old...and not convenient either to record on both devices and then discard. The edge is connected to power meters and I need that input for training analysis. I'll keep as it is until I'll upgrade to a new edge in the future.

Thats the same i do with my Garmin Edge Explore 1000

Than connect the power meter to you 945 as well. Same i did for the cadans meter. it is connected to both the edge and 945. ik use the 945 only for recording data to transfer after the cycling tour to garmin an i close the edge without saving run.

What PM do you have? Does it connect easily?

i do not have a power meter sorry. But i suppose it can be connected to the 945 as it is to be connected to you edge.

Search for connection options in the 945 and than try to connect.

By the way what power meter do you have. and are you satisfied ? i consider buying one.

The ANT+ protocol allows your PM to be connected to multiple head units, so you can record power on both your watch and Edge at the same time. Bluetooth only allows 1 connection.

I am using BePro powermeter. Once you know how to train with power based data, you'll never go back to HRM.
