Is the 935 GPS still more accurate than the 945 and if so by how much?

I'm planning on upgrading to the 945 but the GPS stories are putting me off especially when hearing there is a new Sony Chipset which will likely appear in the 955 soon so it's gonna feel a bit of a bummer on the 945 when the 955 comes out. I have a choice of a 935 for £140 almost brand new or a 945 for £365 2 months old in perfect condition. I use a shuffle for music, don't use Garmin Pay but will the maps be useful as I am living abroad and sometimes go running in new areas but surely the breadcrumb on the 935 will stop me getting lost.

With the new beta and new GPS update. I have to say that it's in general direction where I went, but if you zoom close you start to find problems like losing the signal to first underpass, and can see how the buildings and trees affect it. I don't think that the MediaTek was so sensitive to these and it had better recovery after underpasses.

I will always buy the latest model of the series. But I don't mind waiting for a few months of the new model.

Just to expect a newer batch of manufacturing.

Maybe you like to consider the 745?

Thanks man, no blue tint on this one but I noticed the batter goes from 100 to 83 after couple hour then stays at 83 what does that mean and slowly goes down. I'm taking it to Spain next week for 6 months so I'll get full use of the maps feature!

Well, yeah, that's the reason I think dual channel gps could be nice :D Or Sony sucks with Galileo. Whats you GPS mode?

It's on gps+glonass i have not tried Galieo but that activity got even the correct side of the road and even when I slightly ran off the pavement it got that too. The splits on my workout are crazy even on this, within 1-2 seconds per km each split. This is the previous week same workout with a 935 www.strava.com/.../4040555776.

Very impressed with the 945 GPS today. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/5599798410 I ran loops of a 0.95km course at my top end easy pace and I held the same feel the entire run. All laps are very close within 3 seconds at 4:25/km. It was headwind for a half a lap and 250m of the course has very tall trees. My heart rate was very good too, ~163 almost every lap and that's exactly how it felt throughout. GPS+GLONASS 1 second recording.

Looks very good. So does it proving that GPS+Glonass is better then GPS only?
