Weather Widget - Waiting for data

Anyone else suddenly having this issue? I’ve tried everything to no avail, including; Location services set to ‘Always‘, multiple power off and GPS syncs, reinstall of weather widget, repairing device, reinstall of Connect, syncing via Express.

I’m getting pretty sick and tired with this device, always seems to be an issue with something. I’ve never been so preoccupied, or had to think about a device so much In my entire life.

  • I suspect it’s more likely Garmin’s inability to interface properly with the platforms it operates on. Weather widget, logging double calories in Apple Health, Apple Workout logging failure.. they love to blame Apple yet other devices and apps have no issue doing such basic tasks.

No doubt my crunchy inoperable menu and music buttons is Apple’s fault too.

#Tip 1 - don’t overstretch your development team across a ridiculous number of devices and code bases.

  • Here’s the support article for it, utter useless; support.garmin.com/.../

  • I followed each and every step suggested in the article.

I have Fenix, Forerunner 35, 935, new 945 and Polar Vantage M After I bought 945, I think I will never use Garmin anymore.

Their marketing and selling strategies are totally nonsense.

    1. Pricing of different regions may be different from USD150.

    2. Customers cannot select different map regions while they setup the watch. Think about Sunnto 7, it allows you to select free maps of your desired region.

    3. Language, Garmin ridiculous separate Chiness language and sell APAC watches at a high price. Think about this, in a simple mobile phone, you can select any languages as you want. Polar and other smart watches can do this but why Garmin cannot?

  • At least now I know why my Heat Acclimation score has decreased steadily from 100% down to 40% despite running the last 4 days in 90+ degree temps with 90+% humidity.

  • Hi,

for me the same, iOS and weather widget doesn't work, that's why also Heat Acclimation doesn't work. So I tried to do that on Android device and it works from first sync. Android Garmin Connect Mobile has version 4.32.1, iOS has 4.32.0.30

  • I almost never look at the weather widget -- too many past failures -- but I see that I'm getting the same error.  Perhaps that explains why my heat acclimation score keeps decreasing despite a bunch of hot, humid runs.

  • What's the fix?  Wait for Garmin to update the iOS Garmin Connect app?

  • I did not find any fix or workaround for iOS Disappointed We have to wait for an App update.
