Forerunner 935 SW 20.00 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile. 

Change Log

  • Fixed an issue with downloading heart rate data post activity.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was intermittently failing to record a golf activity.
  • Fixed an issue where turn direction labels could be intermittently blank while navigating.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was displaying incorrect time for Brazil within the Alternate Time Zones widget.
  • Updated training load usage comments.
  • Brought in CIQ security updates.

    Bruno, I still have FW 15.10 and D+ is not very good. I asked you about the age of your watch because I guess it is hardware issue (not software).

    I answer the question: I had two times a FR 935, the fist time I had the same problem with the altimeter  and I returned the watch to the customer service which sent me a new watch. The watch I actually have is the second (sent by Customer service) which has exactly the same D+ issue, and the watch has only 8 months! So, it's cleary a software update which is the problem. So, I sent the first time my watch (and paid for a new one) for a stupid bug. This time the customer service has no idea to fixe the problem. I can't understand how a firm like Garmin has no process in their developpments! They have to test the version, how a bug like this can occure? How can they explain that when we upgrade our expensive watch we can find out issues with altimeter or other basic functions!? How serious is the customer service when they cannot offer a procedure to downgrade the firmware? Is the problem in the software version or in the updating procedure?

    I'm so angry against garmin which has no answer!

    Interesting. For me the D+ worked well with different FW versions but for few months it is not good that's why I think it is a hardware issue.

    Since this update on FR935 i'm having open water issues, it stops the distance but time keeps running and in strength trainnig is rebooting.

    Agreed. Who (wich users) really drive Garmin to implement more or less useless (and battery draining) functions (for the majority of users) and not to secure the core functions  (GPS/Glonass/Galileo accuracy/accurate measurement algorithms), barometer, timing) first?

    After the update to V20.00 I had the problem 2 weeks in a row now, that the GPS detection was only activated after > 40min. Quite unacceptable for such an expensive device if the basic functions don't work. The same problem already existed with the V19.10.

    Apart from that, the "calculated" distance is useless without GPS; that's easily 25% too much.

    After update with firmware 20.00, my watch got restart after connect with computer. is there any solution for that?

    Updated to v20 last week (I think Thursday). No GPS issues or other things that have been reported, but when attempting to do a cardio workout which I built on GC, the watch crashes and restarts. Tried deleting the workout from the watch and re-sync, same thing. Even tried one of Garmin's workouts, no joy...same crash. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Today I went for a run and the gps was completely out of control.

    I was great on 19.10, now on 20.00 the watch is crashing and rebooting and gps is not working properly.

    Is there any way to downgrade to SW 19.10?
