Start / stop button not working

My start / stop button has ‘stopped’ working. It started off as stiff and slow to respond and then this morning after a work out became very difficult to activate. I was able to stop and save my workout but now it refuses to operate at all. I have tried a reset but it appears to be button issue as opposed to a software one. I have had the watch for a couple of years so out of warranty. Anybody experienced the same and if so is there a way to fix, either by myself or external help? Love my watch and don’t really want to have to get a new one. Thanks in advance.

Try a soak in warm soapy water. If that fails, contact Garmin Support. They may be sympathetic as there are a number of reports of similar behaviour.

I contacted Garmin and with proof of purchase they replaced the whole watch and bundle pack, no charge. Excellent service considering it was 8 months over the warranty.

We're glad to hear you're back up and running! Any hardware complaint like that is best handled exactly you as you did it, through your local support team. We are unable to set up exchanges through our forums.

Some are more lucky than others because you only offer me to pay 99 dollars to try to fix my Garmin 935 that cost probably 25 to produce. Sad.

I'm having the same issue and I've had for over a year. Cost is $110 to warranty the watch. Will have to consider another brand going forward if watch only lasts one year. Really like every thing else but not worth the price paid for a 1 year watch.

Mine also just stopped working a few days ago. Agreed, $110 wouldn't be worth it to me. The Fenix line seems to be better built, but that's just anecdotal.
