Wrist based heart rate not logging

Former Member

Hi I'm hoping someone can help with this, i've just gone onto the heart rate widget and whilst it's measuring my current heart rate as i type this theres no record of the last 4 hours worth ? Also when I press start and look at the average for the last 7 days this is blank since monday this week. Anyone have any idea whats happened/what settings i might have changed ( I switched wrist based heart rate off on monday whilst I was using my treadmill with heart rate strap/footpod but it's been turned on since )

you do not need to turn off heart rate it will automatically use external heart rate monitor when one is detected.
go to settings sensons and accessories, write heart rate and make sure it is auto.
if not factory reset your device and readd it to gc it will upload the last 30 days of activities back to your watch if you want. with trueup.
  • Before you factory reset your watch, try turning it off and on:
    1) Hold down Light and select Power Off to turn it off normally. Hold down Light to turn it on again.

If that doesn't work, you can try what's sometimes referred to as a "hard reset" (which is unfortunately the same term that some people use for "factory reset")
    2) Hold down Light (for about 20 seconds) until the watch is forcefully turned off (this turns the watch off completely, unlike 1). Hold down Light to turn it on again.

I've had this problem before, and IIRC, turning it off and on fixed it.

I have the same issue.  Did the hard reset and the problem is still there.  Heart rate is picking up correctly but not logging.  Please help.

  • Hopefully you've resolved now, but in case it's of use to others I also fixed mine with a simple switch off and on. Using Connect I could see that it had stopped logging after a I ran the battery flat mid run a week ago. First time I've lost logging, and first time I've run battery flat mid activity, so maybe a connection.

  • Hard reset helped me as well. Thanks!

  • Perfect, soft reset worked great for just this fault
