Connection Failed on WiFi network

Question

I have tried several times to connect my Forerunner 935 to a certain WiFi network but every time I get a "Connection Failed" error. I know WiFi works on my Forerunner because it can successfully connect to several other networks. And other devices work fine with this network when my Forerunner fails to connect.

The WiFi network in question is 802.11 b/g with WPA2-PSK authentication and TKIP/AES encryption. I'm certain I entered the password correctly.

Is there any way to diagnose the failure further? A "Connection Failed" error doesn't give me much to go on.

I know this thread is two years old, as of this posting, but I also had this problem and fixed the issue and in the off-chance that someone happens to find this forum, I hope this might help them out. 
 
 TLDR;If you changed your DNS IP4 or IP6, try to reset it back to the address before the problem started cropping up.

Long Story: 
 So a month ago, I changed my router's DNS' IP4 from Google's 8.8.8.8 to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 . 
 At that time, life got in the way, so I wasn't able to use the WIFI transfer feature for a couple of weeks, and when I got back, I forgot about the DNS change. I thought the problem was because of the new updates, and I also was thinking my watch is about to throw the towel. Scoured the forums looking for the solution and found nothing that helped my issue. Just a while ago, I remembered changing my DNS and wondered if that may be the problem and, what do you know, it was.

I had the problem for a long time. What I did was setting up a guest network on my router and with this I can connect AND Sync. 
 
 Maybe give that a try. For your info, i've an Archer VR600v.
