02 persons use same Garmin watch FR935

Hi there,

I'm using FR935 with GC on iPhone. My friend wants to borrow my for an ultra run this weekend. I have 42race challenge this weekend and I don't want to mix up my runs and my friend's run.

Can my friend create a GC account, and sync his activity to his account only?
Can I exclude his run from my runs list? More importantly, I don't want my health parameters change after his running with my watch, ie: Threshold HR, VO2 Max, workload... I mean, everything on the watch during his wearing will not logged into my account.

Appreciate your advice on this!

Thanks, Bang
  • You can sync your friend's activity to a different account with a little effort, but you cannot prevent the watch from calculating performance metrics from your friend's activity.
  • Not sure that it can be completely achieved. However try the following: Make sure he runs with it set as a Trail Run as VO2max will not be recalculated.
    Prevent automatic upload.
Connect to computer and remove the .fit file from the Activities folder.

Likely that training load will be affected. But any metrics changed will soon right themselves in a few days.
  • Thanks tmk2 and philipshambrook for your suggestion. I will ask him to use "Trail Run" and completely turn-off my bluetooth then delete the activity in the watch.
  • Forgot to add, you could always give your mate the .fit file to upload somewhere for his records.
