935 bundle

Looking at both the standard and 935 bundle, I am struggling to appreciate why you would need both a HRM run and HRM tri? Seems a little overkill as from what I can see the HRM tri will do everything the run will but also has built in memory so can transfer data after swimming. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Other than that, is comes with the bike mounts (which i wont use as I have a head unit) and additional yellow strap - is there anything else included? Assume the 935 units are same spec wise - just the silver ring around the edge and start/stop button is yellow instead?

I believe the bundle comes with a HRM-Tri and a HRM-swim (not run). The HRM Swim has a sticky underside to stop it moving so much during swimming. See https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2015/11/garmin-hrm-swimtri-review.html

the mount is a quick release kit, you use it with the 935 as the head unit by either using a QuickFit strap or the included quick release strap. Google it for more details

The HRM-Tri is unsuitable for pool swimming for 2 reasons:
1. It doesn't stick to your body so it's tricky to keep it positioned properly when swimming fast.
2. Not chlorine resistant.
The HRM-Swim overcomes both of these limitations, so it's better suited for pool swimming. On the other hand it is not as comfortable for anything else than swimming.

thanks, just checked this out and you're all right - HRM Swim and HRM Tri. Tri is okay for open water but not really for pool due to chemicals and lack of sticky pads.

Assume the 935 units themselves are identical other than the yellow/silver colours?
