Since updating my iPhone to iOS11, I no longer receive notifications from Strava on the watch, but other notifications are coming through. Not sure if this is a Garmin or Apple problem?
not sure how it is done in fruit-tech-loving part of the world, in Garmin Connect Mobile for android you have to choose/ enable notifications to be shown from particular apps. And I think the default is text/calls/ calendars, nothing more. So settings might've been overwritten during the OS upgrade.
Get into settings for GC Mobile (something like "settings -> smart notificatoins) and check
Just to update, sometimes the Strava notifications are pushed to the watch, sometimes they aren't. It seems to work if the phone is in unlock mode, but not if the phone is locked.
I haven't seen Strava notifications even on my watch for some time now. iOS 10 or 11 no difference. I raised a call with them and advice was to logout, deinstall Strava, reboot phone, reinstall Strava. Did that and no difference. I had the issue before and they "did" something behind the scenes that time that sorted it for a while.
I now wonder if there is an issue in that also have Strava installed on my iPad. Shouldn't be a problem but will try deinstalling it there to at least isolate any issues to my phone.
If the Strava notifications are not coming through on the phone then it has got to be a Strava issue.
Have noticed in the past that even when Strava notifications appear on the phone they seem to get self deleted a lot quicker than others ones. It kind of seems that once it thinks you have seen it, the watch deletes it.
I've been getting all of my Strava notifications on the watch. I have an Android BlackBerry if that makes any difference. Weird that things happen to some and not others.
