Road ID for F935

This is still being worked out with RoadID. So, more details to come. Just a heads-up...

If you are considering purchasing a custom RoadID for your F935 (https://www.roadid.com/c/FitnessTrackerIDs), it appears that you want to order the Fenix 5 style for a QuickFit 22 band and then order the F935 if you do NOT use QuickFit. The F935 product they have doesn't fit on the QuickFit 22 correctly.

I'll post again when RoadID figures it out.
  • didn't even think of this. I have the road ID for the FR935 and it fits great. I was thinking of trying out some of the quick fit bands and I didn't even consider that the road ID wouldn't fit. Is it the taper on the sides? Are the quick fit bands thicker?
  • Yes. The QuickFit bands taper over the course of an inch from the watch. The non-QF bands taper over about 0.125 inch.

I still haven't heard back from RoadID yet. They have great customer service. I will update this thread.
  • Out of interest do you notice you have these on? One reviewer mentions "my wrist was tender and started to bruise" after he had worn his 935 for 3 hours "snug".
  • I had no idea you could get a Road ID for a Garmin! I've been wearing my RoadID on my other wrist. This is GREAT! Ordering one now.
  • On second thought, I think it might be too big for my band. I have small wrists and I have to tighten my band to the 5th or 6th hole from the watch and I don't know if there's enough band left there for the tag to fit. :(

Looks like from photo in https://www.roadid.com/builder/id/default.aspx?styleid=422#/stylize that it takes up 6 holes so yeah you may well have an issue there.
  • That said wouldn't you put this on the non buckle side of the strap?
  • I just use the road id slim. It works well as a spacer on days I might wear two watches for a comparison! :)

Yes. That's why it matters how many holes it covers. I have the 935 roadID and it covers exactly 6 holes. I have a massive wrist though so I still have about 8 holes visible past where I strap it. I don't notice it on the band at all, it is just as comfortable for me as the original band without the roadID.

There is almost zero visible band left on the non-buckle side. The end of the strap just about touches the watch on that side. And I have 5 open holes on the buckle side, one of which is covered by the buckle so only 4 visible holes. I guess I'll just keep wearing my regular Road ID on the other wrist.
