Garmin 935 - Casual Use Battery Life (Normal Watch)

I couldn't find a specific thread on this, so thought I'd share.

Was away on business for a couple of weeks, and did not have the opportunity to do any GPS-based workouts. However, I was using the 935 as a regular watch, with some extra use: step tracking, stair tracking, occasional compass use, GPS sync for time zones, continuous HR, temp, baro, alt etc.

While I turned it off at night, it is still at 57% charge, after 2 weeks.

If you will be using the watch "casually", I'd expect you could get away with a month of use. One less proprietary cable to take with you. Pretty impressive.

Note: I'm using the "BigNumbers" watch face. Just battery and date with a large time field which reads well without backlight. I suspect it also helps sip battery.
  • Yeah, very happy with it here as well. I think I use 3-4% daily (and that is incl ohr, activity tracking, and wearing it during sleep... basically everything on). And when running (1-sec recording, gps only) it uses ~1% per 10 minutes (counting to about 17hrs of gps mode).

All in all I believe I'm at ~2 weeks of use including 3 times an hour of running a week before needing to (think of a) recharge. Love to not have to keep an eye on battery :)

ps. d*mn these forum issues! Takes so much effort to make even one post! Not authoized, JSON errors. C'mon garmin, fix this crap!

Same, i went to Cuba with no possibility to get any internet so i decided to shutdown the bluetooth connection. I lost 3-4% in average (with some outdoor swim in the sea GPS on though). Pretty impressive.
Very happy as well that everything got synced once turned on 10days later (sleep, steps, etc.. included).
  • Same here: Around 26% for a week, using 3 times for running on treadmill (GPS off), OHR/Activity Tracking on, 24x7 (execpt on the shower to give a rest for the wrist :D) and syncing every day. Not bad at all. Way better than I expected
