Pace alert display and Training workouts

Hey all, have started to use my new 935 for my custom workouts I have created.
Couple of things unnoticed that was odd.
- I have a pace alert set for my interval workouts. On my 735xt it would alert me that my pace is Too slow, too fast or in desired zone within the alert display screen. However, in the 935, it doesn't show that, it only has a small red or blue symbol with the pace. What happened to the other info?
- I also noticed that at the end of my workout, the cool down set completes, it tells me workout ended but the workout does not end until I press the stop button.

Anyone know if these are normal behavior in the 935 or are they new or know bugs?
  • Haven't really done any custom workouts yet so not entirely sure. That said what is the exact definition of the last step in your workout?

Sounds like the same info is there, but in a different way. (Red for high/fast and blue for low/slow?)

Others have noticed this on the F5X. Consensus seems to be that it's a feature, not a bug.

There isn't a setting but this is an improvement IMHO. Especially in races, if the course is measured long and you are focused on the finish, in the past, the workout would end and you would have to mess around to get it to resume. Now, you can relax, finish out the race and have all the data for it. Simple one-click to stop the activity. Also, in more general activities, you might fancy finishing our with more of a run and just have one click to stop instead of carrying on and missing the rest of it; or, for recovery analysis etc etc.

Yea, come to think of it, that's actually a feature not a bug and a good one to have indeed as I do fine it annoying to have to hit Resume to continue my workout when the distance marker really has been reached.

Regarding the alerts, after a few more custom workouts, the desired zone alerts did come up and I guess you are also correct in the different in display screens having the same meaning in 935.

Tim, as WILLNORTHYORK mentioned, this is a feature and not a bug.

I haven't yet done an interval with with my 935, but this is GREAT news. My 235 would annoy Me when I had to restart it to finish up a cool down.
  • Which is why the last step in any custom workout I put together is always Go Until Lap Press.

Yes that was why asking what the last step was. I've seen some "interval" sessions that maybe don't have an explicit "warm down" just carry on with the timer still going which makes a lot of sense. Would make less sense if you have an explicit warm down step like this but then effectively get another one. Will have to try it myself...
