Watch when not in use showing that as sleep time, why?

Hi,

it’s a major software issue, I didn’t use my 735xt for one full day. Later in the connect app, it showed 10 hours of deep sleep. JoyGrinning Later when I was wearing watch while sleeping, it totaled 10 hours and sleep time and showed that I slept for 12 hours on that day! This is really a major issue as I can’t keep wearing watch 24 hours x 7 days to get my metrics right. Kindly help.

I'm having the same issue.  When I take my watch off, it still occasionally reads sleep (or heart rate).

  • It is an activity tracker. If there is no activity/movement, then it registers as sleep. You can turn off sleep tracking when you are not using it.

Not smart. It is probably using its battery to read your heart rate while it thinks you are asleep as well. Other activity trackers manage to sense that they are no longer attached to a live body, shut down, and the software deals with the metrics, why not the Garmin?
