I leave in a high rise condominium are in the Philippines and I 100% understand the issues of getting the GPS right, but then why are all my apps using GPS on the phone such as Waze or Google maps super capable to do it, from inside a car?
I've activated the recommanded settings, enabling Galileo or Glonass with no substancial effect. In practice, it's impossible to use the pace features of the device and even less so to get accurate predictions.
I do understand the hardware limitations but that's where software kicks in.
If my heartbeat is stable at 150 bpm, how can I ever run a 400 m in 43 seconds, good *** !
What's the point of adding fancy VO2 calculator or training effect if the data is completely not accurate.
At least, the course mode should be used to reinforce the accuracy of the GPS.
Rather than using the mode for navigation, useless for most runners who know very well where they are going, this mode could bound the GPS to the tracks predefined.
When one is in the range accross the course, the GPS could map the location, if the GPS is of the course, it doesnt save the data for as long that it is off track. This type of data would be much more effecient for those running in cities.
There must be a way that Waze manages to get super accurate in the very same environment.
