Languages on 645 APAC Version

I'm planning to purchase an APAC version with Japanese/English. If I set English as the default language, will the watch still display Japanese characters in text/tweet notifications, or must I set the default language to Japanese?

    For my watch as APAC version with TW/English, I have set English as the default language, the watch sill displays the Chinese/English characters in notification like Whatsapp/SMS message which is sync with Garmin connect via mobile phone.
