Sensor Hub 6.60 upgrade

So my 645/M has an update today.  It was upgraded to Sensor Hub 6.60.

Can anyone please provide the clueless a couple of sentence on what the Forerunner Sensor Hub does, how it is important, what areas for improvement might be in store for us consumers with Sensor Hub updates?  Thanks.

  • I think I have done a Sensor Hub update via Garmin Express last Saturday and have discovered the following:
I had a run on Saturday afternoon and everything was fine with the watch, but when I finished the race and pressed the stop button, saved the run and returned to ordinary watch face mode, the watch freezes (it still shows the time but doesn't update the hours and minutes anymore) and doesn't react on any button-press. The only thing you can do is to press the On/off-Button for several secons to shut down. Today I have discovered this again with my second run since Saturday. Seems there is a bug somewhere and hopfully Garmin reads this as well, as I have not written a message to the support yet. However I also do not know what Sensor Hub is exactly for. Thanks.

  • Thanks,

A tip, next time start with "I also do not know what Sensor Hub is exactly for."

In journalism it would be called "burying the lede."

  • The same is occurring with my year old watch.
