Cannot download spotify app for 645M

Hi,

I'm trying to setup Spotify with my 645M, but when I search for "Spotify" on the Connect IQ Store on both my phone and laptop, it only returns a different app, G-Playlist for Spotify.

On my laptop, navigating directly to the app, https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/30c6c876-ba43-4cbb-b4c7-03583a7cb66b, I'm getting "This app is not compatible with the selected device."

Thinking my 645M might need an upgrade, I see my software version is currently 3.80. Maybe this needs to be upgraded too?

Is anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

same here. still didnt get firmware 4.0 in malaysia. and no spotify available. kinda sucks

same for me in the UK, still on 3.8 and no spotify in the store for my device. Sucks!!!

You have the APAC version. No 4.0, yet. Not sure, how this affects Spotify. See: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=13023

Thanks for the response JensDoe. I checked and I do have the APAC version, not ROW. Purchase from Garmin Amazon in US and received APAC instead ROW... bit upsetting, but gotta check next time!

Probably 3 weeks-ish is my guess between typical ROW and APAC updates

What about my Asia-Pacific (APAC) device?

Not yet. Like all other firmware updates, Garmin basically doesn’t love you. In general, if you live in those regions and don’t absolutely need those languages, I’ve long encouraged folks not to get the APAC variants of Garmin devices. Garmin takes forever to update them with new features/firmware updates. Sucks it does.

Hi guys, today I updated my Garmin APAC version to the 4.00 firmware but there is no compatibility with the spotify app.

Yes, APAC version as well, 4.0 firmware, Spotify doesn't show up as a compatible app. Following a direct url does load the app, but on clicking download, a prompt pops out saying that my device is not compatible. Pretty sure the supported devices on the Spotify lists the 645M, and doesn't exclude the APAC versions.

C'mon Garmin/Spotify :rolleyes:

I bought this watch just today in India just for Spotify and already regret buying it...
Should probably have stuck to Galaxy Watch or Android wear. Might just return this one.

Anyone have any luck yet? I can now download the app but I can't select it as a provider on the watch.
