Cracks on HR sensor

Anybody experiencing same problem???
I wear my 645m 99% of all time on my wrist, then do a carefull charging. I swear that the mechanical damage is IMPOSSIBLE from my side!
Unfortunately I'm without a warranty (I won them). Price of replacement is approx. 96€ in the Czech Republic.

I red about similar issue with fenix 5 but don't know exactly... ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1420230.jpg
  • Have you contacted them? What reason did they give for not honouring their guarantee? Seems a little odd
  • I live in Czech rep., I won them in Czech rep. So I contacted Czech support for help with my watch ID they wrote:

    Watches are NOT from our(Czech) distribution (= we can't help) - even they were we need some purchase list from company which did the competition.

    I asked them what is the origin country for my ID and they wrote: If they are not from our(Czech) distribution we are not able to find where they come from. (= We can't help)

    Company which did the competition wrote - We can't provide you a documents which you need. (= we can't help)

    Official international support doesn't answer me.

    I've been contacted by Garmin Support, and they're getting the local distributor to get in contact with me to do a swap out of my watch to "study" it...

    I'll update on progress

  • omg... HUUUUGE thumbs up for Garmin O_O They've contacted me again without any action from my side.

    The message (short version):

    We (Garmin czech) were contacted by our foreign garmin colleagues (probably official support - I sent them ID , model, location as they requested in fenix3 thread about cracks) about your issue and we want to repair them for you. We will proceed as warranty repairs.

    Literally I'm speechless. GREAT support.

    After 5 working days (including shipping there and back) I received complete NEW watch with correct czech ID. To be honest, I'm happy :D
  • I have exactly the same issue with my FR645 (non music) - bought Jun 2018.
    i had contact with garmin support and still waiting to get an answer.

    Did it get swapped?

    I've just checked mine and I have the same issue but having had to dream with support over the backlight issue was so painful and protracted I don't know if it's worth it as it still seems to work ok...
