Itunes sync error

Good morning everyone. Anyone managed to sync FR 645M with Itunes?

I have an issue with Garmin Express - it refuses to see any Itunes playlists/ songs/artists (mp3, not apple music). When selecting (+) the Itunes folder with Garmin Express, it just quits with an error. No playlists or music is ever found by Garmin Express.

The Windows 10 PC does see the watch as a USB device/ drive and I can add music to it manually (drag and drop), but not via Itunes playlists. Thanks for your help!
  • It works for me, but I know that that is not very helpful (sorry).

    For playlists you have to "export" the playlist as a M3U file. Also I have been removing the meta tags (lines with starting with a "#") from the M3U file - I think I read in another thread that you need to do this, but I am not sure. In my case, since my music is on a NAS I need to edit the M3U file anyway and copy the music temporally to my C: drive.

  • Check out the thread I just posted below yours. I'm having the same problem. I can add single songs, or up to about 8 at a time, but play lists crash GE.
  • This is the message I continue to get when trying to download playlists. "An unexpected error has occurred and Garmin Express must close. If you continue to experience this, contact Garmin customer support."

    Having no luck with iTunes on MAC. Getting no help from Garmin to solve the problem. Several times asked to follow steps listed on help page.. by the time I contact them I've tried all of that...typical help desk BS.
