My new forerunner 45 wont turn on and has small writing on it - gps test, heart rate , foot pod

My forrunner 45 switched itself off and now won’t turn on. It’s coming up with small writing and a funny block screen when I press the buttons

You're on the diagnostics screen. I have an epix Gen 2. I can get to this screen following these steps. So somehow, you've done this or have a stuck "down" button

Power off the device
Press and hold the down button
Keep holding the down button while pressing the power/light button
When you see the Garmin Fenix logo, release the power button
Keep holding the down button until you see the diagnostic screen
You can cycle through the various screens using the back button
To get out of the diagnostic menu press and hold the power button until the unit powers off
Press the power button to turn the unit on and into normal operating mode
