How do I set location on Garmin forerunner 45 or on Garmin IQ

If you mean location of your Garmin Profile account, then you can change it at https://www.garmin.com/account/profile/. If you mean the physical location of the watch, then just start the GPS (long press the GPS button) while being outdoors, or start an outdoor Activity, such as Running, Walking, or Cycling.

And is it possible to read the position/elevetion someware?
I run on hills and I'd like to know the change of share.

If you want to see the elevation, open the ABC widget (altimeter/barometer/compass). If you want to see the position, open the GPS widget. If you want to see those during running, you can also customize the data screens of the Running activity, and adding the respective data fields to one of the screens, or adding a new screen for that purpose.

Thanks, but my Forerunner 45 has not the ABC widget(maybe is only on the 245?) and the data available on screens of Running activity are many but not the ones.

In that case use the GPS widget - it should show both the coordinates, as well as the altitude

Yes.

none GPS widget but I've found couple of watch face . . . now test them.
but I'm surprise, so nice wach with working gps reciever, and no info displayed!!
