Forerunner 35 recording steps but not uploading them to the app

Hi all, I have a current issue where the watch shows the daily steps I have done on the watch but when I upload to the app it uploads any runs or walks I have done but never uploads the steps. So basically shows as if I have done 0 every day. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks

First step would be to restart the watch.
