Is there any way to see your splits while doing an interval workout on the track?

I know I can use the lap button but it will only show my splits after each lap. I would like to see where I am while I am in the middle of running it like a traditional stopwatch so I can check my pacing. I know I can look at the total time, but it would be more convenient to have it this way so would not have to calculate it in my head.
