Dead, screen blank, won't charge

I've had the forerunner 35 for a year and it has suddenly stopped working. I was swimming with it and noticed it was suddenly asking for GPS to set the time. When I got out of was working but then went blank. After a few attempts it turned on. But then went blank again 30mins later. Tried cleaning the charging bits.
tried pressing on as you plug into charge
1/5 times doing this the screen displays 'garmin' but then goes blank again. No light. Won't turn on. Help! Anyone know what to do?

My Garmin Forerunner 35 also suddenly today just went blank after I got back from a race. I've had it for 2 years now without ever having any problems with it. I've tried to charge it (it was fully charged this morning) but no reaction from the watch. Help please!

No one here on this forum can help you. Your only option is contacting Garmin Support.

Mine has just done the same thing too.
also only had it for a year and it also started to display “setting time by GPS” and then has gone blank. Won’t power on or charge.

Please help!

Mine has also just done the same thing.
I’ve only had it for a year and it just displayed “Setting time by GPS”.
Screen has now gone black and it won’t power on or charge. I’ve tried powering on while connected to external power source but nothing happens.

Please help!

Contact Garmin Support or a Garmin Service Center.

Usually caused by Water Getting Inside the Watch.

Mine did this as well 5 mths ago and about the same age. It was too sudden a failure with no other indications for me to accept it as lost cause. I finally got around to using the computer to install and sync instead of my phone and that seems to have done the trick.

Mine died today after four months! Same issue as above. I am very disappointed in this product.
