Hello.
I recently bought a Forerunner 35. Until now I was using a Forerunner 210, which performed well. Surprisingly, the FR35 has been an absolutely disappointment. The GPS accuracy seems to be horrible.Even doing a road bicycle run, in a long and fast descent with clear skies over me, the altitude recording shows the descent with intermitent positive peaks when it should be constant. If I use it for trekking or there is any tree around me, the GPS reception warps badly, when I stop to take a photo, the recorded position is not stuck in the map, it's like if I was dancing inside a big circle adding fake distance to the recording. Not only that, the altitude is also warped so it is also adding fake total altitude. If this can be fixed I will try to return the product as soon as possible, it is not acceptable.
My wife was carrying the old FR210, we were everytime together so the recordings should match. I'm showing comparison for the recorded data from both watches in a trekking walk, with some forest that worsened the GPS reception, the data is in spanish but it should be understandable where altitude and distance warps in the GPS map over google satelite layer is evident. The FR210, being much older and cheaper, performed very well while the FR35 is too bad. ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1375721.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1375722.jpg ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1375723.jpg
