I had the issue as well, and initially I tried unpairing from my phone, but it didn't fix it, but when I unpaired, deleted the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app and re-paired... That worked…
Unpair then pair again. Worked for my vivoactive 3
I had the issue as well, and initially I tried unpairing from my phone, but it didn't fix it, but when I unpaired, deleted the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app and re-paired... That worked for me! but I had to wait until the next day to see if it worked.

App version 4.27
In the sync audit i get 'no items to process'
I tried un pair, uninstall app, turn both phone and watch off, turn on everything, re install app, pair.

I've just lost the heart rate data from the app for around the fourth time now. The HR data is still showing in the watch but doesn't update to the app. In the past a simple unpair and pair hasn't done it for me. So this time I went straight for a factory reset on the watch. My steps below.
1 Remove device from app
2 Reset watch. Menu/Settings/System/Restore Defaults
3 Set up watch and sync
4 Restart phone
I hope this helps. I have no idea why this happens, could be an update to the watch or the app or even just random luck
