Will music controls on FR35 work with Spotify?

Does anyone know if the upcoming FR35 music controls will allow me to interact with spotify running on my paired (android Nexus 5x) phone ?

Long time FR25 user and love it - but I do wish for music controls...

Ideally , I want a garmin with offline spotify playback . That would be a killer feature as I could then leave the phone at home...

Will keep hoping.

With current firmware (v. 2.50) music control only works with Music.app, it doesn't work with Spotify.

iPhone 6, iOS 10.0.2.

Actually it can control Spotify on my Note5, as I just tried it. In the Garmin Connect settings you just have to select Spotify as the default music player. Of course you couldn't leave the phone at home though

So maybe it works on Android, but unfortunately it doesn't work yet on iPhone.

Spotify on FR 35

Hi I cannot find any music settings on Garmin connect for the FR35, so I can change default to spotify! :confused:

It's not a setting pertaining to a given Garmin wearable device. You'll find the Default Music Player setting under ≡›Settings in the Garmin Connect Mobile app for Android.

FR 35 works with spotify

perfect with Samsung Galaxy 5,6 or 7 (functions Next song, prev, play, pause). Go to Garmin Connect /Settings and select Spotify as the "Defaut Music Player. I tried with iphone, but did not work.

Works perfect with Android 10 on my Samsung A50. You just need to press and hold on down button.
