Calls displayed - text messages not displaying on watch

I've been using the Forerunner 235 for about a year and love it. Had an iPhone 6S and all good. Changed to iPhone 11 today. Only problem is that text messages are not displaying on the watch. Incoming calls are showing but no texts. I feel like I have checked all the settings on the watch, in the Connect App, in Notifications > Messages - nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

All sorted now. I had to enable previews in my notifications which allowed it to work. I did this through connect settings and notification settings. Hope this helps

I’m having the same issue with my 645. Just started happening recently, wondering if it could be related to iPhone update? Following this for possible solution

Same here none of the text messages are displaying on my 735 after updating new software to 13.1 on my iPhone. Hopefully new firmware update from Garmin with fix this issue. The only way message display work is if you let your messages displayed on the screen but than anybody can read my messages. Notifications -> settings-> show preview ( turn on ) But I don’t like that option.

I have the same issue with my Approach X40 since the ios13 update. Was hoping the new update would sort the issue but no such luck. Ill be keeping an eye out for a solution

Hi - are you still having issues with this? Call and FaceTime alerts come through on my 235 but not iMessage / SMS. Maybe it was iOS 13?
